Building our library means building our community.
The expansion of the Washington County Free Library will almost double the size of our central library. When complete, there will be improved public access to technology, quiet spaces for study and reflection, rooms for meeting and learning, and appealing settings for performances and other cultural events.
Construction is expected to be complete in Spring 2013. For the last two years a capital campaign, Building Our Great Good Place, has been underway. Facing a shortfall in funding of $3.0 million, the campaign has raised $2.25 million to bridge this funding gap.
Raising the remaining $750,000 is critical to this project. These funds are not for bricks and mortar. These funds are necessary to purchase tables and chairs, computer systems, modern library management systems, expanded internet access, and information processing systems that were only being thought of when the new library project was envisioned.

While naming rights for various rooms, suites and building features are being extended to corporations, foundations, organizations and individuals that make major gifts, the participation of every citizen is encouraged. Every gift is important to the success of this campaign.
We need your help. No amount of gift is too small.
